I had my open house last Thursday. One of the moms cried and told me how happy she was that her child would be spending his days in my room with me. I still feel happy about the comment. My room is super simple. I am working on the premise that good teaching and letting the kids put work on the walls will be the best course of action this year. I have YEARS to make it look perfect. Here are the pictures. I can't WAIT to have them all in the room and make it ours.
Glad to be teaching, Kimberly
I don't think your room is boring at all! I'm one who likes simplicity and the less cluttery look. Sometimes when you get too many cutesy things up, it just looks messy and overwhelming. Congrats on your first year of teaching! I can't wait to see your progress!
ReplyDeleteWow! Everything looks so nice, neat and organized! I hope you had a great first few days. Those first days are THE hardest of the year. Once the children learn the routines of the classroom, everything sort of gets smoothed out and the days really move. Does that make sense? Anyway, congrats and best wishes for a great year!
