Blueberries are quintessential Maine and, though I was born and mostly raised in New York City, I feel like a Mainer. I love the true qualities about Maine that I think are also important for a teacher.

Welcome to my new blog. I am planning lots of new posts. My next one will be all about my new boy coming on Wednesday. That's in two days, but no one can tell me his name, birthdate, reading level, or address. Ah well, I figure I'll recognize the kid who doesn't look like anyone else in my class. I hope he knows his name and birthday. I'll take it from there.
