The Big Reveal!

I can hardly stand it. Barbara is going to kill me because I don't even think she's really finished with everything, but I feel like it's Christmas morning and I've sneaked downstairs at 3am to find that there in the middle of the living room, unwrapped, is my pogo stick!

Instead, it's my new blog. A blog that looks and feels just like me.

First, to Barbara from Grade Onederful, I cannot thank you enough. You have worked insanely tirelessly, sometimes even at 4:30 in the morning. You have listened to my wants and needs. You have asked me questions that were clearly important and then you have heard my answers and responded with something completely perfect. I know this sounds crazy, but it means so much to me. This blog is so important to me and you understand that. Lots of you get this, I know. Thank you, Barbara, from the bottom of my heart.

Next, please notice all the detail in this blog. The header is like Blueberries for Sal which is a book I grew up with and a book set in Maine where I live. Blueberries are quintessential Maine and, though I was born and mostly raised in New York City, I feel like a Mainer. I love the true qualities about Maine that I think are also important for a teacher.

strength, courage, fortitude, thriftiness, and the ability to recycle anything.

Welcome to my new blog. I am planning lots of new posts. My next one will be all about my new boy coming on Wednesday. That's in two days, but no one can tell me his name, birthdate, reading level, or address. Ah well, I figure I'll recognize the kid who doesn't look like anyone else in my class. I hope he knows his name and birthday. I'll take it from there.

    1. That's what I said! How can you know he's coming? I guess the school he's coming from called, but no one wrote down the information. Don't ask, I don't know why you wouldn't write it down. I'll find out like Wed morning at 8am.

How can the school know that you are getting a new student, yet not know anything about him? I can't wait to find out!
