Lesson Plan Format

I have the Erin Condren Teacher planner. I know people adore it. I can see why. I use it though because I spent $50 on it and feel the need to amortize the cost. I will admit that I do love that it says Mrs. Moran's Planner, but there it ends. I think I just might be more of a computer person. So I'm working on a plan to get my lesson plans online.

I am right now toying with the idea of using Google Calendar. We use gmail at my school, so it is pretty logical and I'm thinking I can attach documents to the calendar item which could be very useful.

What do you think? What do you use?

  1. I have a computer template that I print out for lesson plans.

Here's a link to where I blogged about it so you can see my template.

I print them back to back and put them in a three ring binder. I just pencil in different things. I like to be able to erase, draw arrows, etc. I tried doing it all on the computer but it just didn't work for me.

I did chuckle about you buying the planner, loving the cover and there it stopped. That sounds like me - I am so not a datebook/planner person. I've purchased some really cute ones but they are never where I need them when I need them. I now use the calendar on my phone and that is really working for me.

    Good luck!!!!!

  2. I use the old old old green lesson plan book with the squares inside of it. Do you know the one? Nothing fancy. I will also take pictures from blogs or Pinterest and put them on a page with a cute border (because borders make me happy). I put the pages in my book for the week and that's it! I have tried so many different things to get away from this or to be more detailed and I can't do it. Good luck with you quest!

  3. Hi Kimberly, I'm new to your site and just ran across this blog entry! I just recently stumbled onto an online planner through word of my boyfriend, planbookedu.com. It's customizable and pretty easy to use. I set mine up in about February and have used it ever since. There's a free and paid version (the paid is 25 a year), but obviously some things are left out with the paid version.

With the paid version you can quickly attach standards, and link to websites, your worksheets or other online materials. You can also print out your plans or email them to your principal instead of copying your planner week after week (maybe you don't have to do this....my school does! Ugh!).

There's a more detailed "feature comparison" on the website so you can see the differences between the two! Hope this helps!
