I have completed my portfolio (
see here for my post on this topic). I have also completed all my notes recording meetings I've had with my Mentor. Tomorrow morning the kids and I will head to my school to meet my Mentor who will review and sign off on my work. Then she brings it to the Board along with her notes about her three observations of my teaching. Then we wait to see if they grant me permanent certification. This is something I've waited a long time for. I feel like it is a huge bucket list item for me.
Now on to planning for the last 6 weeks. Technically we have 7 weeks left, but some days are for testing and some days are for field day and those kinds of activities. I have almost made it through one full year of teaching First Grade. I can't wait to tackle another. This is indeed my dream job and I love sharing it with all of you!
