I should be doing my report cards, but I forgot something I really need to use to complete them. Ugh.
So, without further ado, Currently...and following that, I need to get something off my chest.
I would LOVE to go to Alaska and so would my husband. Maybe for our 10th anniversary.
I went to Greece with my best friend in 2002 and it was so amazingly beautiful.
I want to visit my brother who is quite sick with Lymphoma. He lives in Oak Park, CA. He is a single dad of two children (11 and 15). I wish I could get to see him once a week instead of once a year.
Now to get that thing off my chest. Remember how I got into that Writer's Project? (click here for the post) Well I was really excited about being in this project, but suddenly every day I've had doubts. It's going to cost a lot more than what the district will pay for AND I have to pay for my kids to be in child care for two full weeks instead of just two days a week. But, I'm also tired from my year and I don't know if I have it in me right in the beginning of the summer. In addition, there is this really cool Summer Writing Camp that Kate Messner put together that I signed up for. Finally, I want to be free to go visit my brother in CA when I need to this summer.
So, here it is. I cancelled my writing project for the summer. Instead I am going to do the Summer Writing Camp and Mrs. Wills Book Study. And you know what? I feel really at peace. I am so excited about my summer and my new blogging family.
You have to follow your heart and do what is best for you and your family. When you feel at peace, you know you made the right decision. Good luck in the final days....still 18 for me !!
ReplyDelete18! Good Lord. I'll send you some of my peace next Friday. :)

Maybe another summer you can do the Writing Project. It is a big commitment, so I can understand how you're feeling. (I've been to Athens and Mykonos. I loved Mykonos!)
