I have a small group reading A Mouse Called Wolf. The Friendship Doll was fascinating...I learned all kinds of new facts. Beauty Queens was funny and I loved Our Only May Amelia....the only one I haven't read is your professional read:-)LaurieChickadee Jubilee
I need to get back to reading words printed on a page, bound between 2 covers. I miss it. (I do read lots of picture books, but I need to read something written for the over 6 set.)I miss reading.sandirubberboots and elf shoes
I am reading Panic Button by Kylie Logan, I love cozy mysteries.Jill
Hi, I remembered borrowing Our Only May Amelia when we had our bimonthly theme on Girl Power a year ago, but I never got around to finishing it. I've heard so many good things about Libba Bray's Beauty Queens and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I hope to know more of Libba Bray's writing this year.
I'll be interested to see what you think of Beauy Queen! It looks like fun but gets varied reviews on Good Read! The mouse book looks very sweet. What a good mom you are!BarbaraGrade ONEderfulRuby Slippers Blog Designs
I saw Libba Bray speak at a local event that featured her, Maggie Stiefvater, and Meg Cabot. I was mesmerized! She was charismatic, witty, and warm. I snatched up Beauty Queens, but I have yet to read it. I've heard nothing but good things about it. Great picks!
Libba Bray is a genius. I have enjoyed everything she has written. I hope you like Beauty Queens-it is hilarious! http://wp.me/zUn5
I loved a Mouse Called Wolf. I haven't read a Dick King Smith I didn't like, though Babe will always be my favorite. My daughter and I are reading Keeper...Love. I'm reading Found which I find a little boring, but I have to find out how it ends! I loved the Shadow Children series by Margaret P. Haddix, but this one doesn't have the same intensity. Happy Monday!Jenny
I love it when my sons book talk me, but wow can they be insistent! I need to try a Libba Bray book - I keep hearing wonderful things about her and her writing.
LOVED Our only May Amelia and Libba Bray's trilogy (though I haven't read this one). I'm not reading this week - I am frantically trying to get all the loose ends tidied on my course which is going live in 10 days!!!
