It's Monday, What are you reading?

My son is reading this in school and wants me to read it too. How can I refuse?

  1. I have a small group reading A Mouse Called Wolf. The Friendship Doll was fascinating...I learned all kinds of new facts. Beauty Queens was funny and I loved Our Only May Amelia....the only one I haven't read is your professional read:-)

  2. I need to get back to reading words printed on a page, bound between 2 covers. I miss it. (I do read lots of picture books, but I need to read something written for the over 6 set.)
    I miss reading.

  4. Hi, I remembered borrowing Our Only May Amelia when we had our bimonthly theme on Girl Power a year ago, but I never got around to finishing it. I've heard so many good things about Libba Bray's Beauty Queens and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I hope to know more of Libba Bray's writing this year.

  5. I'll be interested to see what you think of Beauy Queen! It looks like fun but gets varied reviews on Good Read!
The mouse book looks very sweet. What a good mom you are!

  6. I saw Libba Bray speak at a local event that featured her, Maggie Stiefvater, and Meg Cabot. I was mesmerized! She was charismatic, witty, and warm. I snatched up Beauty Queens, but I have yet to read it. I've heard nothing but good things about it. Great picks!

  8. I loved a Mouse Called Wolf. I haven't read a Dick King Smith I didn't like, though Babe will always be my favorite. My daughter and I are reading Keeper...Love. I'm reading Found which I find a little boring, but I have to find out how it ends! I loved the Shadow Children series by Margaret P. Haddix, but this one doesn't have the same intensity.
    Happy Monday!
