Love The False Prince...and Jennifer Nielsen...and the fact that this book has helped so many of my more dormant readers find "joy" in reading this year! I also love Betsy Byars and haven't read Tornado. Will add that one to my list!
The Hundred Dresses - great story! Thanks for reminding me of this book, I have a group of second graders who would enjoy the story. Have you read the picture book, Each Kindness by Jaqueline Woodson? Very similar theme.
I have my own copy of The Hundred Dresses, I think. Such a lovely powerful book. Moon Over Manifest is a personal favorite - I think I must have earmarked the copy I borrowed from the library quite a lot. :) I meant to review it but didn't get around to doing it. :) Have a great reading week!
Currently loving Twelve Kinds of Ice-a gift from a parent. http://www.amazon.com/Twelve-Kinds-Ellen-Bryan-Obed/dp/0618891293 I also love the fact that the author grew up and still live in Maine!
I haven't thought of Matilda in years. Ronald Dahl was such a great author.

My son was such a Roald Dahl fan as a wee lad. I miss snuggling up with him and reading and laughing and enjoying being together. happy reading
